Peter is a Chartered Engineer with nearly 30 years of experience around the delivery of business and technology change. Building his core skills with the likes of Price Waterhouse, Andersen, Deloitte and Hitachi, he has worked with all sizes of business from one person start-ups to multi-nationals, and has delivered work in the UK, Europe, South Africa and the USA.
He leads our ISO 30071-1 Maturity Practice helping clients understand their current digital accessibility maturity and implement a programme to build up the capability in accessibility that helps the organisation achieve its goals.
How did you get into accessibility?
I got into accessibility by helping Hassell Inclusion shape its product set, and realised that accessibility is not a niche issue – we will all need it at some point in our lives, either permanently or due to particular situations we are in.
What’s the one thing you’ve done in accessibility you’re most proud of?
What I am most proud of is helping one marketing agency change its mindset to accessibility. Since they communicate with over 12 million people a year, getting this right means that nearly 3 million people will be better served.
